Albany IVF welcomes Johnson as Fertility
Nurse Coordinator

JohnsonALBANY, NY (February 23, 2007) — Albany IVF, a decade–old practice offering a full range of reproductive endocrinology and infertility care services, has named Maria Johnson of Ballston Spa fertility nurse coordinator.


In her new position, Johnson will be responsible for coordinating In Vitro Fertilization and Ovulation Induction Cycles. She will also perform intrauterine inseminations, organize patient treatment plans, and provide patient education, clinic evaluation and telephone triage.


Most recently, the home health care registered nurse was employed by Johnson & Johnson Wound Management as a registered nurse educator, where she educated nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians in Albany and New York City on the use of medical wound dressings designed to reduce patients’ risk of blood stream and site infections.


Before that, Johnson was a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Albany Medical Center. She also spent two years with the American Mobile Healthcare Traveling Nurse Company, where she traveled to care for babies in the NICU of five Northeast hospitals.


Johnson is a 1999 graduate of Hartwick College and holds an undergraduate degree in nursing.
