150 upstate families to attend Albany IVF’s 4th annual "Baby Harvest" Oct. 1 in Averill Park:

Couples Expected to Reunite, Share Success Stories; Event to Feature Costume Contests and Other Fall Family Activities

ALBANY (September 13, 2006) — More than 150 families from upstate New York who conceived through Albany IVF are invited to attend the practice’s fourth annual Baby Harvest Sunday, Oct. 1 from noon–3 p.m. at the Harvest House located at Hoffay Farms, 489 Sheer Road, in Averill Park.

The event, which will be held rain or shine, will feature an afternoon of food, fun and family activities, including clowns, crafts, prizes, goodies and tractor rides around the rural farm.

With Halloween just around the corner, kids are invited to come dressed up and prizes will be awarded in various categories, including "cutest," "most original," and "scariest." Albany IVF staff and their families will be on hand in Disney costumes and other familiar children’s characters such as Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Tigger and Piglet and will be available for photos throughout the afternoon.

"The purpose of the event is to reunite families from upstate New York whom the practice has helped experience the joys of parenthood," said Albany IVF Founder and Director Peter M. Horvath, M.D., FACOG, explaining that more than 1,400 babies have been born through Albany IVF since 1997. "Holding this event gives families a chance to watch their children experience the joy of fall and Halloween, a dream they never thought possible before coming to Albany IVF."

To RSVP, please call (518) 434–9759 x 401 by 9/26 and leave a voicemail confirming the number of members in the party and ages of children attending. Reservations can also be made online at www.albanyivf.com.
