1. Reproductive Endocrinologist

2. Embryoloogist

Albany IVF is seeking a highly motivated embryologist to join our team of professionals.  The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree and embryology experience including cell culture, ICSI, and embryo/egg vitrification.  The job entails working as part of a team as well as independently to accomplish daily embryology, andrology and endocrine functions.   Multitasking, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are a must.    Schedules can be flexible to work around school or childcare, weekends and holiday rotations are required.  We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package.  Please contact Marsha @ 434-9759x245.  or forward your CV to mforman@albanyivf.com

 



 

 

2. Ultrasonographer

Job Summary:

Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures for the fertility and obstetric patient. Demonstrates knowledge in all technical and academic area of diagnostic ultrasounds to produce high quality exams.  Orders and maintains ultrasound supplies. Provides a summary of findings to the physician. Responsible for documentation in electronic medical record. Acts as a preceptor for new employees and provides OBGYN residents with instruction.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Proficient at performing Complete GYN, follicular ultrasounds and obstetrical ultrasounds in accordance with practice standards. Demonstrates appropriate clinical judgment in evaluating diagnostic studies. Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal results.  Assessments to include but not limited to :
    • Antral count
    • 3 dimensional studies of follicular development
    • Endometrial cavity evaluation, endometrial thickness
    • Uterine, adexal  and ovarian abnormalities
  • Able to instruct new employees and residents on appropriate performance of high quality exams. Acts as preceptor to new staff.
  • Responsible for data entry into electronic medical record.
  • Independently navigates through electronic medical record, able to use email for interoffice communication.
  • Able to troubleshoot technical difficulties in relationship to ultrasound equipment.
  • Completes documentation according to practice standards.
  • Uses disinfecting techniques in accordance with practice policies.
  • Orders and maintains ultrasound supplies.
  • Communicates effectively with nursing and/or physician during morning clinic to review and f/u with diagnostic studies.
  • Able to respond appropriately to patient’s questions related to testing.
  • Consults appropriate medical personnel, when necessary, in order to optimize examination results.  
  • Performs additional duties and tasks as requested by physician and clinical manager.
  • Functions as a member of the Albany IVF Fertility team.
  • Participates in practice committee of choice, health fairs, identified teaching days (2 per calendar year) and designated team day functions (2 per calendar year).

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of one year approved medical sonography program.
  • ARDMS certified in OBGYN or eligible.
  • 1 year OBGYN clinical experience preferred.
  • Able to perform basic computer skills (Windows).
