Tubal reanastamosis is a surgical procedure typically done after previous sterilization or tubal ligation which removes the destroyed, blocked areas of the fallopian tube and reconnects the cut ends to restore fertility. We usually do this by laparotomy.
Generally couples may choose between in vitro fertilization and tubal reanastamosis if the woman has had a prior sterilization procedure. Many factors will determine whether tubal reanastamosis is the best option for the couple.
