Women should call with the day one of menses to schedule an appointment for clinic by using the clinic scheduling line at (518) 434-9759 ext 401. This appointment will be for cycle day 3 unless day three falls on a Sunday when the office is normally closed. In this case the appointment for clinic will be scheduled for Monday. Calls are returned the following day between 9-5pm, 7 days a week..

Please note:

  • A call should not be placed to the emergency paging system to schedule clinic.
  • If cycle day 1 is a Friday and your menstrual flow begins after 4pm, you should schedule an appointment for clinic on Monday, cycle day 4.
  • If your plan includes pre-treatment screening blood work or other blood tests not connected to a treatment cycle, you will be given a prescription or lab requisition ordering the tests. Check with your insurance carrier to see which lab you can use.
  • We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Any changes to clinic times are posted in the lab and in the consult room.
  • Please call to schedule appointments as soon as you can after you get your period. We complete blood requisitions and label specimen containers ahead of time so we can get you in and out quickly during these clinic hours. Your courtesy in calling ahead speeds up the process for you and for others. Your help is truly appreciated.
  • During clinic hours a coordinator, nurse, or practitioner will be available to briefly review treatment plans.
  • Please plan to be here for about 30 minutes for each clinic visit. Many appointments, especially blood draw only, take much less time.

Overview of a Typical Cycle:

Cycle day 1: This is the first day you need to use a tampon or pad for menstrual flow. Call to leave a message to schedule your cycle day 3 (2) clinic appointment on the clinic scheduling line at 434-9759 ext. 401. You must do this regardless of what day you will be in. Please specify the preferred appointment time should one be desired.

Remember: If cycle day 1 is a Friday and your menstrual flow begins after 4pm, you should schedule an appointment for clinic on Monday, cycle day 4.

Cycle day 3: Report to the office at your designated appointment time for a blood test and transvaginal ultrasound. You will begin your medication this evening. You will be instructed on dosage and given a follow up clinic appointment at this time.

Stimulation Day 4-6 ( Cycle day 8): Report to the office at your designated appointment time for repeat blood test and ultrasound to determine response to the medication and assess potential need for further medication during this cycle. Repeat visits to clinic will be scheduled based upon this assessment.
