Egg Donor Recipients
A donor egg recipient is a woman who is unable to conceive for a variety of reasons. In most cases, the recipient has tried many other forms of reproductive therapies which have been unsuccessful due to limited ovarian reserve or response or age.
Albany IVF is very proud to offer our patients our Egg Donation Program for couples who have decided to create their families using egg donation. Egg donation was developed for different types of women with one or more of the following factors:
- Non-functioning ovaries
- Failed ovarian function at menopause or because of advanced age
- Genetic abnormality
- Medical treatment such as chemotherapy
- Repeated failure to conceive with other fertility treatments with their own eggs, including IVF
