Background

I grew up in southern Rensselaer county.  I received my BS in Nursing from Russell Sage College and my MS in nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Sage Graduate School.  I am ANCC board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).  While going to NP school, I worked in the NICU and Pediatric/GYN units at St. Peters Hospital.  My goal was to work in women’s & children’s health as an NP.  Unfortunately when I graduated, local NP positions were extremely limited.  Therefore, I worked in family practice (mainly pediatrics and GYN) for one year in VT & ophthalmology for 3 years locally, and I also became certified as a Surgical First Assistant.  I missed women’s health, and decided to take a position at Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood.  I worked there for 3 years, before taking this position here at Albany IVF.

I have always loved women’s and children’s health.  Infertility has been a specialty that I have always found interesting and have experienced with close friends and family.  When the position became available here, I was very excited to become more specialized and take on this new role.

I have a daughter and can certainly empathize with the patient’s here and their struggle to become and remain pregnant.  I absolutely love being a mother and want to give that ability to my patients if I can and Lord willing.   I feel so honored that I can be a part of making someone’s dream of having a family come true.
