Grace Coons, RN

Fertility Nurse Coordinator

Background
I grew up in Lansingburgh, NY.  I first began working in the medical field in 2004 as a Patient Care Associate at Albany Medical Center.  I obtained my LPN from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 2006.  After this I continued my education at Hudson Valley Community College with intent to transfer into pharmacy school.  I graduated HVCC with honors and was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success.  While working as an LPN, I discovered my love for the nursing profession.  It was this point that my educational plans changed.  In 2009 I obtained my RN from Maria College and continued my nursing education at SUNY IT.  As of December 2011 I will have my BSN and continue on for my NP.  Although I have experience in many areas of the medical field, the bulk of my experience is with women’s health.  I am excited to work at Albany IVF, where I can assist women and their partners in their journey towards building their families.  Family is very important to me, and I hope to have children of my own someday!
